Updated: Y.A.A. Covid-19 Pandemic Plan
Due to the continuing pandemic Y.A.A. has had to make some tough decisions that are unfortunately out of our control. They include the following:
1.) Our Summer bonus activities up to including the end of
August for this year are officially cancelled. We are continuing to assess when we can start fund raising but at this point it may not be until September or later this year if not early next year. We are currently considering activities that are available and are following the state’s guidelines as well.
2.) Our 2020 Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada Bonus Trip in August is officially cancelled as well. The border between the U.S. and Canada is still shut down to non-essential travel and the teens who would be attending this trip were unable to procure their passports in time due to government office closures during the months of March, April and May. We currently have plans to host the trip in August of 2021.
3.) Due to an increase in Covid-19 cases as well as restrictions set forth by the State of Ohio and some municipalities in Central Ohio, we are doing very limited fund raising including door to door and business sales. Most likely we will not be doing any serious fundraising until near the end of this year or the beginning of next year. With that in mind please don’t forget that you can support our teens by visiting our Candy Bar Shop and purchasing our delicious candy bars there!
